We are still buying only fresh fruit and cooking from scratch to save money! On Sunday I looked through the fridge to see what our leftover situation was and made the weeks menus using up what we had. I needed to use up some frozen meatballs that have been in the freezer for a while and also the sandwich rolls from our dinner with the missionaries. I made some amazing meatball sandwiches and added some corn from the garden. I'll make some Baking Powder biscuits tonight and heat up the leftover hamburger gravy to pour over them. I'll add salad to the menu and it will be awesome. On Wednesday we'll have nachos using up some leftover refried beans. We'll be out of town until Sunday.
I really enjoy saving money and hope you are all learning something as well. There's something so satisfying about being thrifty!!!
